In general, our mind is easily disturbed and uncontrolled. This makes our life erratic and manifests an underlying state of discontent. We should understand that we have an opportunity to change this. Inner peace does not arise from trying to arrange the external conditions that we most desire. Inner peace only arises through improving the quality of our mind. This has been proven throughout the ages. If you are able to cultivate such peace, everyone that you encounter will benefit. How wonderful!

The end of each year is a traditional time of giving. It is common that we have a good motivation when giving. However, we can make our motivation more powerful and pure. The reason we should try to do this is, we shall create karmic potentialities that will eventually produce great good fortune for our self. This good fortune will enable us to propel our self into higher states of existence. How wonderful!
